Wife's Interview

Hi,

My wife will have an interview in few weeks. I am not sure what kind of documents she needs to bring with her on the day interview. I think wedding photograph and most recent year of tax returns are enough.

Please let me know what other things she could need.

You'll want to check the embassy's website for information on what is required the day of interview as it varies. Since you're married, the NVC sent along all the paperwork you sent to them (I-864 packet and DS-230 packets) so no extra paperwork should be needed unless the embassy requires it. I know that the UK embassy also requires two more passport sized photographs as well. Have a look on your embassy's website and that should give you the information you need Good luck.

I copied the list below from someone who made a detailed list, Edited it a little for what you need. This is just to give you ideas and use as a guide to collecting the things you can take with yourself.

Applicant Documents

1- Medical Report

2- two passport pictures have at least 8 made you will need them in the future.

Petitioner Documents - Tax's

1- 1040 and W2 (2009, 2010, 2011)

2- Current Bank Statement

3- Pay stubs

4- Employment Letter

5-I-864

6- Tax Transcript for 2009, 2010 and 2011 (order from IRS.com)

Relationship Proof

1- Shopping Receipt

2- Spouce Gift Recipts

3- Letters from family

4- Facebook chat and wall posts

Wedding

1- Wedding Dress Receipt

2- Agreements (Park, DJ, US-Caterer, Pakistani-caterer, Photographer)

There should be list of documents on the interview letter. On my hubby's, 2 photographs, passport, medical reports and original documents that were not submitted to NVC and wedding pictures and if anyone else is sponsoring your wife besides you, take 2011 tax returns and I-864 signed by the sponsor.

Lemme know if you have any questions. My husband took all the copies of the documents that were sent to NVC, our pictures while I was there after the wedding and on Christmas.

And they can cross question her as my hubby was.

And please don't stress out too much. Interview your wife as you're CO and cross question her as much as you can, and as long as she answers everything correctly and confidentally, everything will be smooth. Good luck.

as there is a list of things there, each with a legend.

[important] STUDY THE LEGEND, then cross reference what the IV unit has vs what you're told to bring.
