Federal Background check

Hi Everyone!

I received a email yesterday from the National data base stating that a fegeral background check was ran on my name on Oct 9th, is this a good sign, We filed CR1 with a NOA1 date of May 18th. Has anyone else received this. Due to my employment I am listed in multiple government agencies and receive any notifications when my name is ran for security measures, but the petition is the only reason my name would be ran at this time! What do you think?

I haven't heard of this happening, but it wouldn't surprise me. They do criminal background checks.

Thats what happenes at the USCIS level the background check which is federal, ietrpol criminal. And since you say you are notified when they do it because of your position thats why you would get it and the rest of us don't. It's totally normal.
