hello every one,thank you for being there. my fiancé's mum and dad both work. my fiancé finished her peace corp service last year and she has just finished her master's degree. so she will soon start looking for work. we are thinking of using her mum as the co supposer. how much in figures is she supposed to be earning. i know of the 125% requirement. but what is it in figures. she is from indiana. both parents work. that make us four people me, my fiancé, her dad and mum.

Does your fiancee's mom claim her as a dependent on her taxes? If not, she is not included in the co-sponsor's household size. It is counted as the sponsor, a spouse, any dependent children, any others claimed as dependents on their taxes plus the foreign fiance(e). So, depending on whether or not your fiancee is claimed by her mother on her taxes, the household count is 3 or 4.

No, someone filling out the I-134 must earn enough on their own for their household size plus the foreign fiance(e). There is no combining of incomes with the I-134. The co-sponsor would list their individual income on the form and provide their W-2 along with their most recent tax transcript and a letter from their employer and most recent pay stub(s). Those things will show their individual income, even if they filed their taxes jointly with their spouse.
