Hi to all VJ members;

first I'm so sorry for my bad english...... =)

I'm married with a US citisen (original from my country:Algeria);we know each other since my childhood .... :)... He is my first,my last & my unique love.........I'm afraid to the idea that maybe I can be denied or that they can refuse me to join my husband.....(black ideas in my little minde!!)

he files the I-130 for me on september 24,2012 and now we are waiting......so,I was thinking that maybe I can apply for DV-2014 lottery wich started on Tuesday, October 2, 2012 to incease our chances to live together in the states!!!!

I don't know if it is possible? and if it will not be considered as a fraud!!!!

thx to all.

Do not do the DV-2014 lottery because if you do USCIS will see it as you wanting only a green card into the U.S!I know the waiting can be difficult but stay with the CR1 application and everything should be fine in the long run.All the best. :)

IMHO sure you can aplly for DV-2014.

Tho it might have no point, since - in case you win (which is pretty low), you'll be able to immigrate to the US next October (at earliest). I think CR1 might get you to the States sooner.

When you are in the lottery phase USCIS wouldn't know or care about your submission. You haven't applied for a visa and it is logical that you would have a backup plan. If you are selected next may , then you will be in line to get a chance at a visa. But if the winner number is high you might not get anything. Even to "win" you are more apt to get strick by lightening than win.

This will not be over quickly. You will not enjoy this.
