Calling Obama the kenyan is racial bigotry, but apparently racial bigotry is allowed on this site and here's why it is bigotry:

Barack Obama's mother was a U.S. citizen and he was born a U.S. citizen. His biological father was from Kenya and a Kenyan citizen, but Barack Jr. never lived in Kenya in spite of what the birthers believe.

Barack is an American with African heritage, to which it is acceptable to call African-American or even Black.

Lostinblue is calling President Obama the kenyan in a derogatory manner and that bigotry is directed at his father's nationality.

It would be no less offensive if someone started calling Romney, 'the mormon' as it would demonstrate a bigotry aimed at his religion.

Why such bigotry is allowed on this site is beyond me, except that perhaps too many Mods who are the most active in P&R are incapable of separating their own bias when deciding what is bigotry and what isn't.

Since Obama is not a member of VJ (that we know of) then it doesn't count.

Bigotry towards a particular heritage, sexuality, gender, or religion should not be allowed here, period.

Well he has been referred to as "that guy in the funny pajamas" in these forums... a two-fer! Dis the guy and his religion...

On the rest I totality agree with you, referring to Obama this way is low class, uncalled for and serves no purpose except as a back-handed racial slur.

"I want to take this opportunity to mention how thankful I am for an Obama re-election. The choice was clear. We cannot live in a country that treats homosexuals and women as second class citizens. Homosexuals deserve all of the rights and benefits of marriage that heterosexuals receive. Women deserve to be treated with respect and their salaries should not depend on their gender, but their quality of work. I am also thankful that the great, progressive state of California once again voted for the correct President. America is moving forward, and the direction is a positive one."
