Welcome to the forum.

Please take the time to acquaint yourself with the great information easily available on this site. Specifically, the K-1 Visa Flowchart would be quite useful for your informative inquiry. That chart and much, much more can be easily accessed by hitting the "Guides" button at the top of the forum page.

Good luck on your visa journey.

You should recieve a reciept of submittal in the first month and then your file will sit in a dark vault for the next 4-7 months. They will either send you requests for more information or approve the petition. It will then be forwarded to Lagos and you will wait from 2-5 months for your interview. If you are lucky and get the visa and he doesn't land in additional checks he may be here between 7 and 13 months from now.

This will not be over quickly. You will not enjoy this.
