Hi all,

When we started the VISA for K1 I had assumed over 200 days for all processing up to Interview. My assumption was that I would go and get her Mid February.

Our NOA1 was 7/13/12 and now, only 76 days later have this message "On September 27, 2012, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I129F PETITION FOR FIANCE"

I have looked at other timelines who had there NOA1 on 6/13/12 (a Month before ours) and have interviews scheduled for 11/2/12 in Manila...

So now I am thinking that she is going to likely be done with her interview and all by the end of the year. Is that a valid estimate?

Thanks for any info..

Thank you so much for the congratulatory responses. ;)

Now I have a new dilemma though. My previous years Tax Documents do not provide enough income as I was out of work for a portion of the time. I was not worried about this because my next years Taxes will provide plenty of income to meet the minimum.

Do I have any other options to handle this on the new time frame? Should I just wait until I file my 2012 Taxes in January to finalize the VISA?

We are so excited to be at this stage, it feels like we are on the down hill slope now.

1. Yes, your fiancée is on schedule to interview and to get her visa before the end of the year. In a week or so, you need to start calling the National Visa Center (NVC) in order to get your MNL case number. Once you have your MNL case number, your fiancée can pay the visa application fee at BPI and schedule her interview. After she schedules her interview, she can complete the medical at St. Lukes.

2. The interview does not have to wait until you file your 2012 tax return. Your current sustained income is what they look at, and that's why submitting several of your current paycheck stubs is so important. Your fiancée should point out your increased income and paycheck stubs to both the Filipino pre-screener and to the Consular Officer. Better yet, you should attend the interview and do it yourself. Why take a chance?

yeah once u got ur manila case no. you can pay the visa fee at bpi and don't forget to print deposit slip., about the scheduling u can do that thru online or call u.s embassy, about the medical - you need to have your interview schedule before you can do medical 'coz you need the appointment confirmation as one of St. Luke's requirements.. or if you wish to do the medical first before you schedule your interview you need to have your NVC letter with containing manila case no. and about the docs of your petition it will be sent to USEM. goodluck

look at this link for other papers you need to bring to your interview; http://photos.state.gov/libraries/manila/19452/public/Revised%20K1%20Instruction_rtf2.pdf

weird.. i was trying to paste link of ustraveldocs.com/ph and the website is not working, address directed me to other website.. weird.. there you go now its working hhhaa here is the link for the deposit slip: http://www.ustraveldocs.com/ph/ph-niv-paymentinfo.asp

Congratulations! Yes looks like you would finish by the end of this year. I'm in the same situation and hoping my fiancee can be here by Christmas. Don't worry so much about your past income, focus more on what you can show for current income: employment letter, paystubs, etc.

Congratulations!!!

The difference is Service Centers. California vs Vermont

Last year this time it was the other way around!

Our NOA1 is 22 June with Vermont Service Center and we will feel LUCKY if NOA2 comes in 200 days or less!

Call the NVC center Friday and see if they have your MNL #

She may be able to help you put the Christmas tree up! Maybe even cook the turkey!!

Let just pray that it takes ONLY 3days for NVC to give you the MNL case# so that you could able to rush and get an early interview appointment. It goes filled fast (its first come, first serve)...you might get lucky someone might cancel and you might get that date

Usually it takes 6weeks (interview) from the day you paid the visa fee.

by the way...CONGRATS
