My interview was at 9:30am in Milwaukee,WI. We arrived at 9:05 but sat in the car until 9:15. Went through security ( less than 5mins) and went upstairs. There were 4 couples there waiting all dressed in jeans and sweatshirt so we felt overdressed but oh well. We put the notice in the slot and sat down( watching CNN). We were called in at 10:15 by a white tall man in his late 30s. He led us to his office and sworn us in.

He then asked my husband

His full name, dob, place of birth, address and whether he petitioned anyone, he said no

He then asked me the same questions in addition to where I work ( have been working unauthorized for over six years and have been paying my taxes). I work as a CNA and he asked me how I like it and what type of clients I work with. I told him from bipolar disorder to Dementia. He said that's good

Asked me if still go the college I initially came here to go to, I told him No. I got transfered, did an Associate in Business Management and now doing my Bachelors in Nursing. He said that's really nice and since you havr years of experiemce in this field, you'll do great..

The funny part. How we met. We both said online..lol. he asked which dating site, we told

told him. He said, honestly, I've interviewed at least one couple a day who met on that site ( we all laughed) He then asked, how does that works and my husband explained that to him, he was like thank god I don't have to go through that because I'm already married and smiled.

List of yes/ no questions and he asked to see the photo album. He looked through it like 3 times and asked who was who and where we were in the pics. He looked through his file once more and said you guys have a lot of joint stuff for newly wed.

He did ask to see a lease which we didn't have because I'm not on my husband lease.

The big thing that I was scared about was the fact that my husband lost his job a month after we submitted the package and is currently on unemployment. He did ask my husband where he works and he told him he's not currently working.

On the I-864 form, my husbands dependents were me, him and his 2 children and he made way over to support all 4 of us. The IO said, the 2 kids didn't have to be on there since they are not living with us. He then them everything looks good and we should hear something within 30 days. He walked us out and told us to have a good day. It may seems like a lot but it was litetally 5-7 mins

Got card production email at 5pm

I just want to say a big big thank you to my support team here on VJ. I couldn't have done it without you all anf I'm so greatful.

Sorry for error, typed all this on my phone...:)

Super happy I can now relax for 1 yr 9mths...:) :)

Haha. The most famous one that is absolutely free.... My hubby told the IO he asked me out twice and I stood him up. That's was hilarious! He asked how long it took to meet in person, It was like 2 months because I wanted to make sure it was the real deal...:) He sho did blow me away.. The fact that he cooked for me on the first date made my decision way easier to give a relationship a try and here we are. 2 yrs tomorrow...:)

@MsGore. It seems to work best especially when you have a busy lifestyle, always on the go and just don't have time to really go out.

Congratulations! And thanks for sharing it with us! It sure helps knowing all that prior to the interview. I also hope mine is as smooth and fast as the ones I've been seeing, 2,3 months only! Dating websites work great these days, because you can filter what kind of person you want to meet, the likes, dislikes...plus you're both with the same goal!
