Calling NvC wont piss them off will it, do they keep a record of when u called them? i called 4 days after receiving NOA2 approval email, and the lady at nvc seemed agitated saying harshly , "sir you have to wait 7-15 days before you call".

They do have a log of how often you call, but call anyway. Otherwise you're never going to know when your stuff gets done!

USC who lived in Manabí, Ecuador with hubby from 2009 - 2013. Hubby became a naturalized American citizen in August 2016. Currently living together in northern Virginia.

it looks like its taking people 2-3 weeks to get a case# and IIN from NVC, so i am going to wait a whole week and then call, this everyday calling and hoping is tiresome,

May the Force be with all of us

Thank you so much!

One more question:

Those forms include i-846, ds-230 and other civil documents, such as birth certificates, etc?

i864 that pertains to your case(A,EZ,W,or regular) and all supporting documents (taxes, transcripts, paystubs, etc)

ds230 and all supporting civil documents (birth cert, marriage cert, passport, pics, police cert)

read the instructions for both the 864 and 230, and you will see which documents you need to submit with the respective forms.

Please be aware that case from China can do EP, which I would recommend. Please go here and read up - you'd be doing yourself a favor.

Hello All

I just got the e-mail today that my wife's I-130 has been approved. One step closer! We waited until almost the last minute to send back what was needed for the RFE so it took longer than most people :bonk: . But we are back in to the swing of things now. Hope things are going well for the rest of you guys.

Received an email today at 5:45pm stating that we have been approved!!!!

"On April 25, 2013, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I130 IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN."

Must have read it at least 10 times to make sure it was for real, almost hard to believe that it's true, so HAPPY!

Thanks to all of you who have posted and kept us all updated on your progress, it has been such a tremendous help to know what others are going through.

For those who are still waiting, hang in there - things are moving now.

WRITE YOUR SENATORS - IT MAKES A DIFFERENCE!!

I wrote a letter to CA US Senator Barbara Boxer's office that I sent on April 6. Called the office the following Wednesday to confirm that they had received it (which they had). The following week after that I got a voice mail from a Constituent Representative at Barbara Boxer’s Bay Area Office (on 4/17). I was out of town at the time and called back this week (yesterday). The representative told me the following:

The Representative had called the USCIS last week and was informed that a Case Officer was currently working on our petition and that we should receive notice of adjudication within the next month (by mid-May). The USCIS representative furthermore stated that the RFE we were notified about on January 16 had been automatically generated when the Case Officer added a note/comment to the file regarding an additional review, meaning that we might not need to submit additional evidence (an RFE might not be needed or sent out at all) since the comment could also just be an indication of the additional time needed to review our case.

Turns out a there was no RFE for us after all, hope that makes a difference for some of you waiting for an RFE.

The fact that your husband is Arab has nothing to do with the long NOA2 wait. There is a member on here from the Philippines (Teague) who had to wait over a year for her NOA2, and several members from many different countries (Germany and Canada among them) over in the June filers thread who had to wait upwards of nine to ten months for their NOA2s, or are STILL waiting. Its unfortunate that you haven't gotten an approval yet, and I hope for your sake that it comes soon, but don't play the race card. It's irrelevant and inaccurate.
