Soooo....I am really trying to remain positive and keep the warm fuzzy feelings going. HOWEVER....it is VERY, VERY, VERY disheartening to see that fellow VJ'ers who applied either a week/few days before me or AFTER me received their NOA2 from the VSC back in August (and I don't mean LAST WEEK AUGUST or the week before last AUGUST...I'm talking early to mid-August), for fiances who just so happened to be from either European countries or from Canada. (Check the topic "Any Feb. 2012 filers" under the K1 forum.

I have been following this topic for a little while now, and using it to give me courage and hope about my own personal journey w/ VSC. I know there are HUNDREDS of us, if not more, who have been patiently waiting over 6+ months (it will be 7 months on 9/7/12 for me) for the VSC to get their act together, and to start sending out those NOA2's...I mean really...we've been patient, we've been praying and staying positive, but now it's getting a little RIDICULOUS!!! However, when going back to that same exact thread just a few minutes ago, I felt a little anger starting to set in once I started noticing which countries had been approved within the reasonable processing time, and it just made me wonder and give a STRONG SIDE EYE to that revelation.

At any rate, don't get me wrong...I am very happy that those folks mentioned above received their NOA2. I am by no means a "hater" or "hating" on their blessing...trust and believe me. However, the observation could not be overlooked.

Just throwing it out there.....

I think this is the biggest downside of the very readily available VJ timelines... It is very disheartening when you witness other filers who filed at the same time or even after you who got approved. We all want this process to be 100% ordered, queued system where it's all first-in-first-out, but you have to remember that even though it is a queue system, it's more of a batch-queue system, where there's a whole batch of em in at a time, and a whole batch of em out at a time.

So yes, while it is indeed disheartening to see others get approved before, don't lose hope and don't let it bring you down. Your time will surely come. Sooner now than later, for sure.

Also, since it's been such a long time for you, I'd be harassing USCIS in your place. Place a service request. Call every week following up on it. Call officials to ask about it on your behalf. Anything and everything you can do to get someone to go looking for your petition.

Best of luck to you.

Maybe you've seen approval from those country members because they are more of them on VJ than others? Or more of them that filed in their timeline? There can be lots of explanations, and the data you see on VJ are very little compared to the actual amount of people sending petitions.

I know it's hard to see others who filed after you and being approved before you. Just imagine that cases are assigned to adjudicators, and some cases/adjudicators are faster/slower to approved...

Stay strong, try not to focus on others, you're being angry for nothing because you can't control much of the process. Stay busy by getting you informed of the process after the NOA2 approval. It can help you save some time later. :)

nothing is in order @ VSC. the data here on Vj is skewed so it cant be taken for gospel. i agree with the above post that maybe the countries that you "think" are getting more approvals might just happen to be those with a large VJ contingent. Just hold strong and hope it come soon. I knew this was going to happen after waiting 188 days for ours. best thing to do is stay away from VJ for a few days, it might help and dont look @ CSC filers on igors list, it WILL make you sick.

I feel your frustration believe me. It's not even those countries approvals that ticks me off, it's the 2 month approvals from CSC that hurts more. People who applied in JUNE and was lucky to be sent to CSC is getting approved. THAT HURTS when people like you are still waiting.:devil:

I agree that it isn't "luck" per se. Not too long ago, the CSC was also experiencing long wait times. On the USCIS website, the processing time was listed as 1 year. I am definitely going to be patient. I think that I was going through some things emotionally yesterday. LOL! Again, thanks for the encouragement.

Join the club buddy. We are all in the same boat as you. When I called they are still saying we are within the status and to call back in a few weeks. So join the club and take a deep breath and relax........ What else can we do....

Not all the time. I've seen people from Florida at CSC. Texas is so big and closer to CA than VT... Should be split, but it's the luck of the draw.
