Assuming you do not have a commuter green card, you are a US resident and should treat things as such. i.e. You are a visitor in Canada. You only get to bring $65 gifts into Canada (the $750 applies to residents).

You will also need to update your nexus status to indicate that.

As a general rule, while you can be a citizen of 2 or more countries, you can only be resident of 1 at any given time. In the case of Canada and the USA, there are treaties in place to ensure just that.

Without more information, I would say that since you just got your green card through adjustment of status based on an immediate relative petition, your main residence must be in in the USA, in which case you would enter Canada as a visitor.

I agree as i was told that i could have my green card revoked if i stayed a resident of canada at the same time until i can become a us citizen

Citizenship and Residency are not the same. You can have as many citizenships as you qualify for... but you can't have two RESIDENCIES at the same time. You have to pick one - and the US greencard they just gave you assumes that the United States is your place of residency - and Canada is just a place that you go visit, even if frequently. If they give you the greencard and you go around saying you LIVE in Canada, they'll assume you didn't really want it and take it away from you.

You are a citizen of the country whose passport you are travelling on. If you enter Canada on a Canadian passport you are allowed whatever is due to the Canadian Citizen. (This is how it works with Jamaica and I think it applies to your situation)

You are a resident of the USA.
