Our status:

We have gone through the entire fiancee visa, AOS, EAD x 2, AP x 2, processes without a screwup. We have been waiting for over 2 years for AOS. Well, it turns out that my wife's G-325A for her AOS had an error on it. It failed to list her time in the USA as a resident from when she entered the country. So, when we got our RFE in December from CSC they asked for a new and complete G-325 A in addition to the financial stuff. No big deal - we just filled it out and signed it, and sent it in along with the financial stuff. AFTER the package was sent in I was looking it over, and discovered to my horror, that she had not dated her signatures on the 4-page G-325 A. In our haste to get the package in I did not review it very well. So, we re-did the entire package and resubmitted the entire package. It was still about 20 days before the deadline. As you can see from the list people are getting approved right and left while we have heard absolutely nothing since we sent in even the first RFE package. So, I sent them an email last Friday, Feb 6, inquiring about our status. This morning, believe it or not, I had this reply to the email:

"yes we received and now we are waiting on the FBI"

So I guess I feel better now. At least we have not been rejected, at least not yet. I don't know why they are waiting on the FBI though.

Jeff - after reading your post and seeing that you had a reply from CSC I checked my e mail and low and behold I too have had a reply this morning.

I'd sent an e mail last FRiday asking for the status and this is what I got:-

Some U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) customers may

receive a

receipt or transfer notice from the CSC for cases they filed with local

District

Offices in the USCIS Eastern Region or with the National Benefits Center.

This

is occurring because, in the context of backlog elimination, some cases that

are

unlikely to require an interview have been transferred from district offices

with longer backlogs to the CSC where there is greater existing

adjudications

capacity. These transfer notices reflect receipt by the CSC of a case that

has

been transferred there to be adjudicated, rather than original receipt of

the

case by USCIS. For newly filed cases, customers may receive their first

receipt

notice from the CSC, rather than the National Benefits Center or the

District

Office.

Please allow 180 days before inquiring in reference to the status of these

cases. For additional information, contact the National Customer Service

Center

at 1-800-375-5283.

So, if I'm reading this correctly:- the fact that I and my daughter's were submitted to Atlanta March 2004 have no bearing whatsoever. It's the date that CSC received them!! They were transferred on 20 September and received on 12th October. 180 days!! I'll be looking at mid-APRIL!! Our second wedding anniversary is the end of this month!!! Oh Im really pissed off with all of this!!!!

How long did you guys get your actual green card after approval via USCIS website? I just got an email from USCIS saying that they mailed an approval notice yesterday. Is the card going to come with this approval notice? My wife received her card 3 days after we were notified of it's approval via email. She did not get an approval notice like my son is going to get. Is this because my son was RFE'd?

I too applied in Atlanta and am still waiting for my AOS. My file was transferred to CSC on October 1st and the last time it was touched was October 5th, although I received an appointment notice for new biometrics in December for today. I suspect that they aren't keeping up to date on the 'touching' either. If your 2nd anniversary is the end of this month, pray that they are going to be later than that in granting your AOS because instead of the 2 year conditional status you will qualify for the 10 year permanent resident status and not have to go through all of this all over again in 2 years when you need to apply to remove the conditions. I am hoping mine is delayed long enough as well to make it past our 2nd anniversary in June. I've waited this long (in addition to the 9 months for the K-1) that I want to get the maximum benefit from the wait. Good luck whatever happens.
