I got this response to an e-mail I sent on 6/25 :blink:

We apologize for the inconvenience. However, the California Service Center (CSC) no longer accepts inquiries from the general public via email. All inquiries must be submitted to the National Customer Service Center by calling 1-800-375-5283. The National Customer Service Center will route your inquiry to the appropriate USCIS District Office or Service Center, and will track your inquiry to a final resolution. If you've received a transfer notice regarding your case, please inform the National Customer Service Center at the time you submit your inquiry. The National Customer Service is available Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, PST

why won't Mr. Chen respond to my e-mail? :(

I got that email before I got the email where they told me I'm in namechecks. First time I didn't include James's full name or bday though, so maybe that helped? I dunno :)

I sent a few more so I will see what happens-it seems that they are 3 weeks behind in answering my e-mails :blink:

the last one I sent, I included his birthdate-maybe that will do the trick(fingers crossed)

Hey all!

Thanks for the 'congrats' re my approved AOS. I really do not doubt that I was going through more extensive namecheck than someone with 'best case scenario' but I sure am glad to have this over and done with now so that I don't have to consider shelling out more money for an AP before the fee hike takes effect.

Wow.. who knew breathing this easy could make everything seem better.

Sept 10 - NOA1 date
Sept 16 - NOA1s received

2014

Feb 25 - got emails saying that the cases had been transferred to another office for processing

Feb 26 - got emails saying that the cases have been transferred to my local office for processing

Feb 28 - got emails saying that the cases have been transferred and are being processed

Mar 17 - got email, attached to one case number only, saying that my A number was changed relating to the I-130 filing

Mar 18 - got emails saying that the petitions are approved smile.png

Hard to say. We got an RFE early on, somewhere around September 2006 I think. Once we sent in what they wanted it was May 2007 before my husband got his approval and GC in hand. I hope it doesn't take that long for you. :)

just an update, I think we were aprroved already..yesterday I got an email from CRIS saying card production ordered and today got another one saying a letter welcoming new perm resident has been mailed..but no news yet on my daughter's hopefully we'll get her's soo also.

Thanks everyone and I pray more people gets good news esp. those whod been waiting for so long now!!

Sent my RFE back in last week, they signed for it on the Wednesday, and today I got an email stating case resumed processing. So it took a week. But I also got a reply from another VJ member when I asked that same question and there's was 3 weeks later. So you never know.

Here's hoping that it was everything they were wanting.

Still no update on my case. I have made an InfoPass appointment for tomorrow morning as my EAD expires in October, so I want to know what to do next. If I HAVE TO renew, I need to before the end of July because of the costs. I hope to get something good from tomorrow. Anyone have any advice on this?

28th May 06 - Arrive in Texas!

8th July 06 - Married!!!

3rd August 06 - EAD received at USCIS

29th August 06 - Biometrics

18th September 06 - Case (AOS) transfered to CSC on 9/14 (advised by mail)

4/6/10th October 06 - EAD touched!

11th October 06 - Email from USCIS - EAD Approved on 10/10! Card on the way!

16th October 06 - EAD card received!

16th October 06 - EAD Application email received confirming letter to be sent.

22nd February 07 - Email sent to USCIS requesting an update.

5th March 07 - Case touched! AOS is now "pending" at the CSC! Progress!

5th March 07 - Email from CSC confirming I am awaiting the results of the FBI name check.

27th April 07 - Email received. A notice requesting additional info has been mailed.

4th May 07 - RFE letter arrived.

21st May 07 - RFE docs returned to USCIS by mail.

6th June 07 - Email from CRIS saying RFE received and case processing has resumed!

26th June 07 - Phone call from a USCIS officer at the CSC in California asking for a copy of my I-94 by fax.

27th June 07 - InfoPass appointment at 745am.

12th August 07 - Email from CRIS - Green Card on order as of 8/11!

15th August 07 - Email from CRIS - Welcome Notice sent.

I think at this point I'd get the Congressman involved to inquire on the case? Good luck for your InfoPass..I hope, they can help you!

Well, I got a surprise phone call today from an officer at Homeland Security (USCIS) in California. He asked me to fax a copy of my I-94. I asked what would happen if I couldn't find it and he said they'd send an RFE, which would take another 90 days! Anyway, I found it, faxed it and he said he'd only call back if there was a problem. He also said once he received that, he would continue with my file. He was very polite and I guess this is them preparing for tomorrow morning.

And, my case hasn't been updated on the website.
