I thought I saw it somewhere but now I can't find it. Can someone list all the fees involved? We will be married before the application. It is myself and my two children.

If I understand correctly I'm looking at $420 x 3 for the I-130. I know of $300 for me and $150 for each child for the medical exam. Where does the rest fall in?

Yes...those are ALL the fees for filing the I-130 petitions for 3 people.

....but your first number should be $1260

Don't forget the Police Certificate(s). You will need one for you and one for each child over the age of 16.

It varies on which organization you get your certificate from.

Don't forget the travel expenses. You have to go to Montreal for the interview. Another small thing that adds up is all the passport photos. Any documents not in english must be translated as well. Then there's the travel expenses once you actually move to the US.

I'm not worried about travel expenses or moving expenses. I'm in Toronto so Montreal is going to be a long overdue visit which I'll make the most of. That's all stuff I'm thinking of and already budgeted for. Read the guides now that you know which VISA process you're going through. There will always be unexpected charges that come up.

- police certificates

- medicals for each of you (no one is exempt)from a Panel Physician (not covered by Ontario Healthcare and strictly out of your pocket)

- any fees for you to obtain long form birth certs for each of you (short won't do)

- any fees your soon to be husband may pay to obtain documents required from him

- any fees you may incur getting custody orders, documents and letters from an ex who may be father of your children (if they are not natural children of your soon to be US spouse)

- all the sets of passport photos you'll have done for each of you (for application and medical)

- plan ahead for the amount of $$$ you'll need saved between the time you leave your Canadian job and when you find one in the US.

Get ready to hurry up and wait! Montreal owns your life for a while ;)

Montreal owning me... :angry: LOL but yeah, I guess that's true! I've got all the documentation I need and can get ahead of time. I already ordered long form birth certificates (which was neat to see my mom's writing on mine from so many years ago) and have copies of my divorce paperwork showing sole custody. Medical fees I've already put aside and contacted panel physician to find out how far head to book etc. I'm way ahead of myself here but trying to do what I can before we even file so that when I'm asked for the paperwork, I already have it standing by!

I already ordered long form birth certificates (which was neat to see my mom's writing on mine from so many years ago)

I thought that was so neat too!! :D My mom's writing hasn't changed very much over the years haha
