Hi, it would be much easier to ask questions on this site. Many people will not want to give out thier personal emails. Ask any questions and you will get answeres. I did the K-1 for my fiance and she has an interview in Juarez soon. Just ask me if you have any questions.

Hola.

Hi. Packet 3 is just the invitation letter that tells you The websites where you go to fill out the DS-260 and pay they fees. That letter has the Jaurez link to what they call a Packet 1 that sets out everything required to take to the interview. Once you fill out the DS-260 you can log in and pay your fee and set up Biometrics and Interview date. These cannot be more than 7 days apart. Here is the catch it takes about 10 business days to get the letter, but the info you need isnt all on it. You need to call the NVC to get the CDJ# BII# (beneficiary ID number) and Inv# from them to pay the fee. As I understand there is no Packet 4 for Fiance in Juarez. At other Consulates around the world you take send in documents ahead of time at Jaurez you take it in person.

I guess I have no choice but to wait for the packet to arrive...I just can't wait to schedule my interview .... when did you receive the invitation letter? I couldn't see your timeline on here, I wonder if there are dates available in September.... don't think so....

Thanks a lot again and hope I don't get lost....

Actually I could have schelded mine with in 10 days. There are many open interview dates. I chose October because it gave me a time to be able to buy flights cheaper. Last minute airline tickets areexpensive. From Mexico check VivaAirbus very inexpensive. I got my letter two weeks after Juarez got my case. My Fiance got the letter 3 weeks after me. Any other questions just ask

I agree. Just ask here. There are people here that can help you in the open forum, and in turn it might help others that read it.

Yeah get an official copy of a birth certificate. As for the passport I know that they let you use it also but what they ask for is a copy of the WHOLE thing. That means the cover the back and every single page inside even if its blank. I going to do that in addition to the birth certificate for her to take. Heard some stories about the birth certificate having to be the long form or something and some not being accepted. I dont know what that means so Im do both. Better safe than sorry.

All forms need to be obtained online. When you receive your acceptance/invitation letter it will direct to a particular website. You can start getting the forms ready while you wait for the letter to arrive.

http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/types/types_2994.html#6

You, the foreign-citizen fiancé(e), (and eligible children applying for K-2 visas) will be required to bring the following forms and documents to the visa interview:

-Two (2) Nonimmigrant Visa Applications, Form DS-156 (prepared in duplicate).

-One (1) Nonimmigrant Fiancé(e) Visa Application, Form DS-156K

-A passport valid for travel to the United States and with a validity date at least six months beyond your intended period of stay in the U.S. (unless country-specific agreements provide exemptions)

-Birth certificate

-Divorce or death certificate(s) of any previous spouse(s) for both you and the U.S. citizen sponsor

-Medical examination (vaccinations are optional)

-Evidence of financial support (Form I-134, Affidavit of Support, may be requested)

-Two (2) 2x2 inch photographs. See the required photo format explained in Nonimmigrant Visa Photograph Requirements

-Evidence of relationship with your U.S. citizen fiancé(e)

-Fee receipt from any BANAMEX or SCOTIA bank branch ($350.00 Dollars) for each applicant or phone/online payment proof (MRV fee).

Note: The Consular Officer may ask for additional information, such as photographs and other proof that the relationship with your U.S. citizen fiancé(e) is genuine. Documents in foreign languages, other than the language of the country in which the application takes place, should be translated. Applicants should take to the visa interview clear, legible photocopies of civil documents and translations, such as birth and divorce certificates. Original documents and translations will be returned.

********NEW********

Most visa applicants in Mexico are required to visit an Applicant Service Center (ASC) prior to their consular section interview. The ASC staff collects the applicant's biometric information that will be reviewed by the consular section prior to the applicant's interview. The ASCs are located in buildings separate from the U.S. Embassy and Consulates. For more information go to

http://mexico.usvisa-info.com/en-MX/selfservice/us_before_you_apply

On this site you will also be able to fill out the newly required e-form DS-260, choose a DHL pickup location, and pay your MRV fee.

That info is a bit outdated. The visa processing fee is $240. Just follow the instructions from the Juarez consulate site. It lists everything you must do, everything you need to bring, info about the medical, etc. Can be found here: http://photos.state.gov/libraries/ciudadjuarez/231771/PDFs/packetk1may.pdf
