Hey everyone thanks for all your help until now I just got back from my fiance house in brazil and I'm collecting everything I need for my petition and want to send it today or tomarow I just wanted to know what's the best way to assemble it all togethor and send it is it best to organize everything and send it in a binder or folders? Also should I send in original airline stubs and atm receipts or just copies? Thanks.

I successfully got mine approved without any delays by organizing it all in a thin plastic binder. I just scanned receipts and airline stubs and sent copies instead of the originals. I printed off online chat conversations we had too as additional proof. I also made a simple Table of Contents page for the petition and used it to make sure how I organized it was clear. I hope that helps!

No binder or folders, DO NOT send them original... Send copies of what you have to them except for the pictures you can send in those. everything will be copies. Pictures you can put in a zip lock bag.

No originals, only use photocopies(she'll need the originals). We had a table of contents for ours and put post-it notes at the top so the officer could find everything easily. Photos were in a hardened envelope saying "photos"

I sent mine in a 3-ring folder to hold it together. I included a cover letter which had a table of contents stating what was in the folder. I put my photos in zip-lock bag and made copies of all of the proof of relationship stuff. Airline tickets, hotel receipts, instant message chats, phone call records, etc. I put the passport-like photos in a zip-lock bag and stapled it to a sheet of paper and labeled it as to who is in the picture. I made a copy of the money order. Make sure to include copies of any divorce decrees, passports, and birth certificates. You also need a signed intent to marry letter from both parties. This guide is very helpful:

I sent mine in a 3-ring folder to hold it together.

While there are some that have used 3 ring binders, it is not recommended. First of all, your petition will be put into a USCIS folder that the punch holes are on the top and your file hangs down. This makes for unnecessary work for the person putting your file together as they will have to disassemble it. Think about the mess to take all of that apart.. The 3 ring binder will go into file 13.

Organize according to the guide that you have been kindly given. Use paper clips or binder clips to bundle the individual sections. Use post it stickies staggered so that the person can see each section clearly. If you want to keep it all together, just use a simple manila folder with your name and I-129F application on the outside. Not necessary, but it makes the life of the government worker a lot easier. The first person to touch your package is not the adjudicator, but a lower level employee who basically checks to make sure the basic contents are present (check, documents, etc....) Lastly, your cover letter should also be like a table of contents of how your package is assembled.

Make it EASY on the worker...... Don't want any inadvertently dropped documents on the floorwhistling.gif

Parabens...!!! You are now an official member of the :clock: Club......

No notarization. P.S. if you are sending in copies of your passport and it still has 5 more years of validity, then not really necessary to send birth certificate. The birth certificate is used to show you are an US citizen, US Passport does the same thing. But, go ahead and send both to give yourself peace of mind....... Not going to hurt.
