Hi everyone! I hope I can find some help or suggestions from anyone here. I am a K-1 beneficiary. Our petition has been approved but I have a big problem about my marital status. I was married twice. what happened was I got separated with my first husband, "not annulled" But I was able to get married for second time because when I tried to get a marriage certificate from the NSO there was none in fact I got a CENOMAR. I married my second husband but our marriage was annulled already. I can tell that I'm still lucky to find a real nice man, who's my fiance now. In preparing for the documents for my in coming interview, our lawyer asked me to get an ADVISORY of MARRIAGES "this is equivalent to CENOMAR for single" from the NSO. I was surprised when i received the result that there were two marriages registered under my name. But my first husband was already dead so I have his death certificate. I am still free to marry legally but in the petition that we filled I declared only one previous marriage. And the most thing that bothers me is that I did not tell my fiance about my 1st marriage. What will I do now? How will the consul know about my 1st marriage if I will just keep it? Do I really need to pass an Advisory of Marriages to the consul? I am very worried about this. I dont want get denied. Please help guys!

First thing you need to do is tell your fiance, because with the documents you have, he'll find out anyway

2nd, you probably need to submit the death certificate AND the annullment papers.

You need to change that on the petition as well, you must NEVER lie on anything on the papers

Good luck

Hi, first you need to be honest with your fiance, tell him everything, NO SECRETS!

your 2nd marriage is void/not valid for you got married on your 2nd husband w/o

filing an annulment on your 1st husband.

even if your 1st husband is already dead but he is alive during your

2nd marriage, your 2nd marriage is still void.

When filing an annulment or marriage has been annulled, you need to

update your MC records at the Local Civil Registry office and they ask you requirements/papers

after the process from LCR office they will give you endorsement papers for you to bring to

NSO office so your MC/CENOMAR to have update and will have an annotation "ANNULLED" on your

MC.

yup, you need to be honest with your fiancee. its possible that at the interview he might get asked about it and if he dont know much, that is probable cause for denial

Another thing... You need a CENOMAR on your K1 Visa Interview,

It's impossible consul won't ask for your CENOMAR for you are

a K1 applicant. even spouse visa(IR1/CR1) are required to get a

CEMAR.
