Hi everyone,

I sent my I-751 application last week (8/8/12) to the California Service Center. I sent it by certified mail. Now I am concerned that no one will be signing for my package over there, since I sent it to a P.O. box address. Do you have any suggestions for me. When I tracked it today it showed that it hasn't been delivered yet(today is the 13th). Should I just wait or send my application again? My green card expires 9/21/12.

Thanks guys!

Nora

Check the certified number at the end of the day just to allow the post office scanners to upload delivery information. Since you mailed it on the 8th and it is only the 13th today. It should be any day now. It traveled over the weekend. I work at the post office and deal with P.O Boxes. Im pretty sure they have a courier pick up their mail.

When I mailed mine - I had asked the same question to the post office employee who would sign this is P.O.Box and she told me for USCIS and other places they have huge buckets and than someone would sign for all the document that needs signature once or twice in a day.

I did not send certified just had it trackable.

We sent our original I-751 packet AND our RFE packet via USPS Express Mail with Signature Required and both packets were signed for :) The packages were both delivered and signed for at the Laguna Niguel, CA Post Office around 10 AM (the tracking info updated around 3 PM on the USPS website). :)

Just an update. It looks like my certified mail was delivered to the California Service Center today :), after USPS lost my envelope somewhere. What a hassle, but it looks like a happy ending :)

Yay! That's great news!!! I've had some packages get misrouted by USPS (thankfully they weren't anything important) but they eventually ended up where they were supposed to be delivered :)

Glad to hear your packet was delivered. We never got the intervire letter for my husbnad when he was going through the AOS process.. the post office sent it back saying it couldn't be delivered!!!???

We had to go in and talk to our branch manager and go through a lot of hassle till we got the interview letter.

Good old USPS. :)
