Forgot a few important numbers:

100% - 1000%: Increase in suicide risk where a gun is in the house

50%: more likely to be shot dead by one's own hand than to be shot dead by a criminal assailant

> 30,000: Self inflicted gun injuries per year.

Go suicide! (I support Euthanasia)

Though I must say there is something rather civilized about using a tanto instead.

It takes much bigger balls to stab someone than shoot them... Do you have a map of knife crime in the US?

I think this depends on the length of your pointy thing. The relation between ball size and length is direct. The longer the pointy thing, the smaller the balls need to be.

Well here are the latest FBI statistics on murder by weapon type.

One might be surprised to know that murder by "hands, fist, and feet", is more prevalant than murder by rifles or shotgun. Murder by knife is second only to that by handgun.

The image you posted is for knife crime, not murder. Got those stats?

.22lr becomes somewhat inaccurate after 100 yd. Larger rifles go out to 800+

A long bow has a range of 250 yds if you can pull it. (For comparison)

Have you ever seen a 800yd knife?
