Rubio would split the hispanic vote, causing problems for Mr. Obama.

That would be a good thing, IMO.

I am thinking Portman, Christie, or Rubio.

And I think he'll have to go with the most appealing of the three. The one that can bring some energy to the ticket. And that is Christie.

I don't see a Romney/Christie ticket. Rubio might help with FL but not much else - and I say might because the greatest pull Rubio would offer would the on the Cuban-American vote which largely goes Republican anyways. Portman - that I can see. It would make sense. There was a thread the other day making the Portman case and I thought it was quite convincing.

Kelly Ayotte

because nothing says success like an all new england ticket

runner up choice would be condi rice. romney must reduce obama's lead among women. ohio is winnable without portman.

Condi Rice isn't even an option. She's made it pretty clear she's not interested one single bit. And good for her. Her talents were wasted in government anyway.

Any of the toss-up states is winnable for Romney, but Portman would be a nice shortcut for him.
