HI VJ,

I am new here and was hoping anybody can give me some input when applying for a Visa for my PREGNANT Fiancee. I will be submitting the app this week!!!

As of now, my research as brought to my attention that I need to file a I-129F app. because my baby hasn't been born yet. I called USCIS and they told me to include a letter stating that my fiancee is pregnant so that maybe they can expedite the process. 1) Is that true??

What other docs or information can I provide?

I appreciate your time and help!!!!

Thanks,

Jorge

They infrequently expedite for pregnancy, usually only if it is expected to be high risk. That would have to come from your fiancee's Doctor. If they have asked you to mention it by all means do so, but on the whole from what has been posted here in the past being pregnant when you file has made no difference to the time the petition takes to be adjudicated.

Edited to add: Welcome to the forum :)

The extreme hardship has to be on you, the US citizen. That, ot if you can prove that your fiancee/unborn baby needs medical attention that's only available in the US. The proof you may add is statements/documents from doctors/hospital/family doctors etc. People/agencies that are credible, basically.

Being pregnant does not up your chances of having a petition expedited. It won't hurt to ask either since a denied expedite request won't have a negative factor on your petition/the decision.

If the baby is born before your fiancee enters the US with a K1 visa, you'll need to file Consular Report of Birth Abroad (CRBA). The kid isn't eligible for a visa because it has a claim to US citizenship since you're the biological father.

IMO, you could ask for the expedite, roll the dice, see what happens.

Coupla things to do/include:

1. a cover letter requesting the expedite and the reason for expedite

2. medical documentation about the pregnancy

3. write on the outside of the mailing package - I-129F - Expedite Requested
