Which customs line when AOS at JFK???

My wife is traveling home from visiting her family in Russia and is wondering if she should get in the line for Citizens or the line for Visitors when she arrives back at JFK. She has her AOS. Just wondering because she only has a 2 hour layover.

If "has her AOS" means she is a GC holder, then go through the Permanent Resident line (at least one terminal has a separate line for this).

If there is at least one USC or GC holder traveling individually or as a family, you would go to the GC/USC line.

Last month I returned to the U.S. with my wife, a greencard holder, my son a USC, and my mother in law a tourist Visa holder. All of us waited in the USC/GCholder line. Had no problem.

she applied for her greencard and has the paper saying that her greencard application is processing...but no greencard. She has the AOS and work permit in the meantime though.

Okay, you mean to say she has an AP card, for Advance Parole. Have her ask the attendant at the back of the line where she should go. They are there to help.
