NVC receive time

I've just completed my daily phone call to NVC. My receipt is 21 Sep. Today is 20 Oct. Again, I hear the "it could take up to 90 days" line from the operator. I haven't seen anyone's case take that long for NVC to receive. I'm curious to know what's the longest that you've seen someone having to wait for NVC to receive an approved K-1 petition.

At least this operator was a little more helpful...she did say that she knows it can be frustrating, but I haven't waited the max time (90 days) but if I haven't heard anything by Monday, fax my approved petition to them and they will contact immigration. I can't imagine anyone having to wait 90 days for a piece of mail to arrive and processed into the system. That's just insane...

I send multiple emails a couple days apart. I sent one, then two days later I send another...when I get a reply, I send another...this way, one is always being processed.

I think both of you should fax your approval letter to the NVC on Monday.

I would think the CSC has shipped one or both of cases to the NVC. By faxing the NVC at least you will find out this information.

I've just completed my daily phone call to NVC. My receipt is 21 Sep. Today is 20 Oct. Again, I hear the "it could take up to 90 days" line from the operator. I was also approved Sep.21,,I wonder if there was a problem with the shipment sent out on our approval date, who knows,,I still get the same response,,,90 days,,,,it is insane,,,I sent a letter to my senators,,I would have sent one to my Rep. as well,,but I dont have one at the moment!!!he has been on the news lately!!any guesses?????

There is no problem with the shipment and no need to contact your senator - save that kind of contact for when/if you really need assistance. Since late August it has been taking 3-6 weeks for cases to reach the NVC. Send an email to the NVC with your case number in the subject line - by the time you get a response your case will most likely have been forwarded to the consulate.
