Oh where, oh where have our petitions all gone?? Oh where, oh where can they be??? Buried so deep, that noone can see, come on now NVC! Lol

These phone calls and wait times are eating up my free cel minutes, no more daytime calls for me....I will gladly send them a shovel to dig through that pile of paperwork so they can reach those petitions on the bottom of that mountainous pile. Shoot, they dont even need to do anything with my petition! Just log it and forward it to Lagos so we can re-interview!

The day will come......

Just got my NVC case number yesterday.

CIS approved the I-130 on June 11, but the packages are held up until there is enough of them to bulk ship them across the states to the NVC.

That can take up to 30 days.

NVC recorded that they received our package on July 9 ... yes I called every day starting on Jun 20.

Took them another 2 weeks to assign the case number.

Now they estimate that it will take another 4 weeks to be contacted by NVC. What a bummer.

I am a US computer programmer in the security industry. I would love to let the leader at the top know that we invented something called the internet and High Resolution secured bulk document scanners, and secured media transmission a while back. If they used available technologies, they could better serve their customers with 50% less staff, in a fraction of the time and at a fraction of the cost to the government, and best of all... with much more accuracy. (applauding ) you JerryShaw you said it all. I a QA Analyst who would be testing that code you program know also what you say is so on target. Lets write a Functional Systems Design and submit. OMG. I must be in that 30 days bundle. I must have not made the cut even though seen alot of June 29th and after me from CSC get Case received. I just want to know its there and not in the basement or how one person said they were stuck in the mailroom for a month. Two people were sent to NRC by mistake 3 month delay. Like I am trying to be cool ya know. Oh and shout out to Spokane my home. What do I say when I call NVC for my case number?

all you do is give them the number they ask for and they take it from there.

then after they give you the status, double check and ask them:

Do you have my case number yet?

that's it!

What do I say when I call NVC for my case number?

I just got my number less than 12 hours ago.

They will start off by announcing their name, then ask you for your case number or Receipt number (that is your CSC generated number when they approved your I-130).

Give them the receipt number.

If they then ask you to tell them the Beneficiaries name and date of birth, then you can bet they now have your case number. They will then also ask for your name and DOB, then both of your emails. Then they will ask you "How can I help you". That is when you ask for the case number. Make them confirm the number with you (read it back to them).

If that is not their response, then they will either tell you the date your packet was received, and that you need to wait for 10 to 15 business days not including holidays to have a case number assigned. OR they will tell you they have not received your packet, then they will start off by asking you when you were notified of your I-130 approval, then they will tell you to allow 30 days for the package to be received by NVC.

Now just because they have received your package does not mean they will have a case number right away. It can take between 10 and 30 days to have a number assigned after it has been officially received. They may tell you it is being entered into the system.... that just means it was moved into another room. It took 11 business days to get my number assigned after it was officially received.

Once you have your case number, then they will tell you to allow for 4 weeks for notification from NVC on the next process. That is the stage I am in.

Good Luck,

Jerry
