UK Driving license in the US

I am currently in the process of getting my license so I can drive in the USA. Will they let me drive on a British license, at least temporarily? I will be in South Carolina.

You have 90 days in South Carolina. Each state is different, university websites always have this information for their internationl students so a link to USC (and not the one in Southern California).

Also good to know about additional documents to provide:

IMMIGRANTS Not eligible to renew or replace by mail or website.

Permanent Resident Aliens (foreign nationals)

Unexpired Form I-551 or valid passport stamped I-551 approved or processed for I-551

Social Security Card

Customer must also provide proof of place of birth, if not displayed on permanent resident card

I-551 must display fingerprint for all applicants 14 years of age or older
