Approved, but watch for glitches

VSC sent my NOA1 on January 24,2012. Based on their own listed processing times, I waited until June 25th to call them about my application. When I called, they said that their own internal system showed "two weeks" of processing time left. The girl had some attitude, but whatever-- that doesn't bother me so much. The problem was that when I called 15 days after that, another operator said there was still 15 days left of processing time according to their records--as if no time had passed (she said there was "a negative 15 on my screen). Once I told her I had already heard that and that something was wrong, she transferred me higher up and they submitted a request of some sort and within a week (July 17th), I got my NOA2 notification email.

Who knows how long it would have taken if I had not called them though. If indeed there was some glitch, my app could have been stuck on 15 days left for a while.

All in all, though, I'm satisfied so far. It's almost a month longer than I expected but that's not too long in the grand scheme of things.

It is probably just a coincidence that you called them and then shortly after received your NOA2. Normally calling them doesn't do anything!
