There sure are.

In the last few days, I've (of course) seen some of our members get approvals for various types of petitions. I've seen a couple of denials as well. There have been some reunions, both for visits and 'for good'. All the 'normal' stuff of VJ.

There's been an approval of a long-standing waiver that many of us have been hoping for. And another waiver approval that was granted much sooner than the couple had been thinking, bringing much joy to them. And another member who went to interview hoping a waiver would not be needed, and the disappointment of learning that it will be - thus protracting her journey.

There's a member with his fiance seriously ill and in the hospital, thousands of miles away from him.

One of our members has suffered a miscarriage; another gave birth prematurely and the after a valiant struggle, her son slipped away.

Sure VJ is a tool. But it's a tool used by real people who become connected by viture of the journey we are on. People who may never meet face to face, but who care about each other nonetheless.

Life's about second chances people. I'll give Andy his. Not because he 'deserves' it, or with the caveat that he must 'earn' it. But because he's a real person who hopefully has the capacity to learn when he's messed up, 'fess up to it, and make a grown up effort not to repeat the behavior.

WOW is all there is to say...... Beautiful! (F)
