Hi VJ Members,

I have been following this forum since past 2-3 days and amazed to see how united and integrated you all are!!

I have one question. If anybody can help or direct me to some relevant forum I'd appreciate that! I'm also in f2a category and my pd is going current in September VB. I filled for AOS in Nov 2010 from US and my interview was completed in mar 2011.Please advise if I need to take any action now? Should I be prepared for 2nd interview or rfe for sending latest docs like medical, fingerprints etc?

Can someone please help or advice something?

As your PD become closer they will send you an appointment for fingerprints, and they will let you know is anything needs to be update. Affidavit does not need to be update because it is indefinite and does not have expiration date. It expired when the sponsored immigrant becomes a US citizen or have 40 earned working credits which mean ten years of work.

Expiration of the I-864

Will the I-864 I submitted expire if my relative's interview is delayed for any reason?

No, the validity of the I-864, I-864 EZ, or I-864A is considered indefinite; beginning from the date the sponsor files it with the National Visa Center, the U.S. embassy or consulate.

Thanks for your response Dominican1!

I understand now that I would be required to go for fingerprints again. Last time I had it was in Dec-2010 so it might be considered expired now.

Do you know if they can ask me to undergo the medical test again and re-submit the form with latest results?

Also, I have moved to a different location after I filed I-485 AOS form. I did fill in ar-11 and updated the address on my pending application online on USCIS website. Still, is there a way I can verify the address they have on file for me? I just want to make sure that I receive all the communications for them.

Thanks again for your help!

Hi May2010,

I am in the same situation as you are. My PD will become current in Oct 2012 (fingers crossed. I filed AOS in Nov 2010 and my interview was completed in March 2011. Please post your experience here so that I can learn from your experience what to expect. Did they already invite you for fingerprints etc and did they ask you for medical again?

Thanks,

Hi ESES - My PD is going current in Sep. I haven't heard anything from them yet, and of-course it will not happen before Sep 1st atleast. I have heard they ask for fingerprints again but I'm asking VJ members about their experience with other things like medical etc.

I do not know about the medical, but in the other forum I read about a case and they already receive the letter for the new fingerprints and that was 4 months ago and their PD is not current yet. So I think your better call USCIS and make sure they have your right address.

I am posting what he wrote in the other forum, it is in Spanish but you could use Google to translate.
