i had a speeding ticket last year in august i was driving 40 in a 30 zone , he gave me a ticket of not wear the seat belt and speed fine the total was 85 dollars which i paid and had a proof, good thing was that i keep imp doc in my folder, the day i got the ticket i did a research on line and it said that they may ask for the payment of the ticket for N-400 so i had the proof without delay.....

Finally had my interview, was a bit nervous that my hand got cold loool, any way , i was greeted by this nice lady, she took the oath , then we went straight to the application form , she asked my address, social security no .(which i forgot lol) mobile no, and asked me the traffic ticket copy of payment as well as the ticket, she made a copy of it,she asked me when i got married then she said to read that Columbus is in October, then she said write the same question , which was easy , coming to question , she asked me we select the Senator for how many year , what did the declaration of independence do ( freedom from great Britain ) , then she said name the part of the government i said president ( i laughed in the middle that was easy), how many judges are there , how many amendment the Constitution has. after that she printed the papers and added the paper to my fat file, they have every thing, and then she took out from the drawer the stamp , and stamped my papers APPROVED and instead of giving me the N-652 that i passed , she said you are approved and here is your Oath letter it stated that i have a Oath on 29 Nov 2012, which was great and a big relief , so i am ready for the oath on 29 nov 2012

i hope that people waiting for there interview get them soon best of luck to every on ....

Hotshot what time you had the interview? I was wondering if anybody here had interview and oath same day. My interview is very early in the morning. I wish I could take oath also same day. That way I do not have to make two trips in Atlanta.

I am worried I do not have any kind of ticket. I might get stuck with something else, it depends on the interviewer. My record is clean though and I am confident.. Still tension comes easily.

Finally got a text stating that status has been updated. As of Nov 1, have been scheduled for interview. It took exactly 3 months to move from " in line to be scheduled" to actually being scheduled. How long do you think it will be to get the actual letter stating time of interview?

well Brucer20099 i had my interview at 8.00am sharp , there were 3 of us for interview , when the first women went she had the tough looking guy , i said to my self i hope i don't get him, he looks rigid..loool but i was lucky a lady came out and called my name and the best thing i was don in 12 min, and she gave me the oath date letter....which was great ,this indicated that i was approved and she stamped approve om my N-400....i was relaxed

you need to relax , i know how it feel till you get the interview , once you have done it all the pressure will be off just like me, now i don't care for any stress since she approved and gave the oath , so you know that you are there....i would like to suggest just to relax and don't panic , it wont help you...keep your chin up....

Congratulations for those who had their interviews and good luck to people with upcoming interviews. I am in Oath ceremony que and I think I might get an actual date in the mail soon. Congratulations Hoshot! Am so glad for you. Finally, its almost over for you. One more step and you are done. I am sorry for the belated wishes as I have been without power for more than a week due to Sandy. Things are getting back to normal in NY but it will take another 2-3 weeks. Even I received a yellow letter a few days ago, stating that I should bring the marked documents for my interview. Seems like New York is moving and I should hear from them any time sooner.

Thanks bro , i am relaxed also now, because i saw her putting the approval stamp on the papers, i am almost there, its good sign that you got the yellow paper , i hope soon you will get the letter in the mail, so that mean your file is touched hopefully soon ..... and one more thing i hope your family is ok in NY, and thing get back to normal....

Thank God! I passed my interview smoothly today.

I arrived at Houston district office about 30 minutes earlier. There were about 30-40 people in lobby waiting for interview. There were about 10-15 USCIS officers conducting interviews. About every minute an officer came out calling people in. I was called in by a very nice lady at my appointment time. When she walked me to her office, she told me there was another lady in the office just for training purpose. Before I sat down, she asked me to raise my right hand to swear everything I am saying is true. Then she asked me to show green card, driver's license and passport. She asked me 6 civics questions and stopped right there after I answered all 6 correctly. She then went through N400 form and finally she let me sign on the last page of the form and gave me an approval notice. She instructed me to wait for another hour in lobby area and the oath letter would be issued. The entire process took about 10 minutes. The nice lady spent about 1/3 of the time training another lady, for example how to mark on N400, how to read entry stamps in passport, etc. It was a very pleasant interview. I then waited for about 40 minutes and got my oath letter. The oath ceremony will take place next Wednesday November 14.

I just got case status update online. The status jumps from "Testing and Interview" to "Oath Ceremony" (On November 6, 2012, we scheduled you for your oath ceremony and sent a notice providing the date, time, and location......)
