carnival cruise

one of my friends conviced me to go on a 4 day cruise with her out of Tampa , FLorida to Cozumel. Anyone been there? ANy advice? I am kinda laughing cause I read the reiviews about the cruises itself they sound kinda corny......any advice about going on d cruise and going to cozumel? etc? I am leaving Thursday morning! LOL

I go on cruises four or five times a year and I love them. I have done that cruise it is nice. The whole staff on a cruise is at your call. They fix your bed put chocolate on your pillows, the food id excellent.

Carnival as a bit younger and crazier and Royal Caribbean is a higher scale. But you will have fun in almost any cruise.

We did a 4 day cruise on Carnival out of LA. All was ok. Carnival from what I hear tends to be more of a party ship. Lot of drunk people, lol Food was so so, Our first meal was very good, but went downhill. Cabin was nice, staff were great. Probably the last time we go on carnival (was a gift) probably would prefer a more luxurious cruise, with less drunks!! Thinkin gof doing Alaska next yr. Best of luck

We just went on a Carnival cruise last month. Had a great time. It was a very down to earth atmosphere, food was ok, and very very relaxing having everything taken care of for you. Plus we got such a good deal and it was SO cheap!!!

Next cruise, we want to try another line, one a little more upscale - but we really did enjoy our carnival cruise!

Yep thats it! Oh and keep track of what you spend it adds up fast on that little piece of plastic LOL! I went way over!

Proably varies by cruise line. Carnival adds 15% on to everything as a tip, plus they charge you an extra $10 a day/person to ur sail and charge card. The sail and charge card acts as ur credit card. At end of the trip the balance on the card gets transferred to ur credit card, or u can go pay by cash!! I think it stated that there were only 2 people that all the tips were not divied up to and u were expected to tip them at the end of the cruise. 1 was the maitre de(spelling?) I found ours soo pathetic and annoying. Especially pathetic on the last meal, when ur suppose to leave a tip in the provide envelope, he was standing at the entrance, with this pathetic grin and his hand out (already with a few envelopes) more or less begging for a tip!! Was a good trip, price was great (free) but will go with another cruise line in the future.

I've no desire to go on a cruise. Heard too many negative stories about having to pay extra once you're on board for drinks, tips, etc. And the big news stories like everyone getting ebola or whatever on board. Plus the itinerary (at least for the ones leaving San Pedro) are like 2 days on the boat, 4 hours in port, another day on the boat, 6 hours in port, etc. I don't like the idea of spending most of my vacation on a floating hotel; I want to get there and do things there.
