We did AOS, only but I guess it's about the same since my husband received his 10 yr GC after AOS. I don't recall how many pages exactly we sent but we sent in a copy of our lease and then our tax return from the previous year. We had an interview so we brought the lease, our phone bill showing we were on a family share plan and pictures. I guess I could've sent those things in with the app.

I'm wondering - for those who front loaded AOS/ROC - did you have an interview, also? I'm wondering if we had front loaded if we wouldn't have had an interview or does that even make a difference?

I'm sending tax transcripts, joint bank statements, previous lease, title of jointly owned car, copies of joint debit/credit cards, copies of 3 each - joint credit card statement and joint water bill, life and disability insurances listing the other as beneficiary, airline tickets for vacation we took together, joint homeowners and car insurance, and photos. It's up to 70 pages so far...It all seems like quality stuff and I don't want to leave anything out.

That sounds about right msheesha....i did not get interviewed...or wait...yes, we did lol. Maybe they weren't 100% sure on us (language issues)since this was the focus of the consulate it seemed, but we weren't scared in the least...who knows, but we passed the interview flying colors...then we did not get one for AOS, but then again, who does lol? Thanks God, we are just about doen with immigration....once we do citizenship this year or next, we are done!

I see everyone was talking diet last thread....well, i started one too, but then hubby brought home coke (my huge weakness) when he knew I specifically told him not to!!

Yayyy for Friday  Even if I have to work tomorrow...

Anyone remember how many pages of proof they sent for ROC? I'm beginning to wonder if I'm over-doing it...

We sent in copies of our joint tax returns since our marriage, copies of our joint bank account statements, copies of our joint insurance policies (medical & auto,) photos of us from over the span of our relationship, photos of us with family & friends on various occasions, airline tickets from trips we made, and also some copies of holiday greetings & anniversary cards from family and friends.

No interview.

Thanks ladies for the ROC proof feedback.

The photos I'm sending in will span the time that he's been here - my family's welcome party for him, friend's summer bday, winter holiday pics, Fall Wedding of Family member, Summer wedding of family member, etc.

I'm wondering if I should include a copy of his pay stub, with medical insurance deduction, noting that our medical insurances are through our individual jobs, ergo - not joint. Overkill?

Did you have anyone write affadavits attesting to your relationship? We're not planning on it - I don't like to have to get others involved that deeply in our immigration process, and thinking/hoping all the other stuff will stand on its own....

Good luck with the healthy eating!

My husband doesn't like it when I'm watching calories. He hates to eat when I'm not eating, and he will try to cajole me into eating what he's eating (usually ice cream! ). I tell him we're not in a fat hut in Mauritania, and that stops it for a while!

No - in my understanding, affidavits are not very useful unless there is a lack of other evidence to show. I think what you have is very good. You may want to add some photos from the duration of your relationship, on different occasions, also with family, etc.

Oops just saw you have the photos covered

Thanks. I appreciate the helpful feedback. And, I'm happy to hear that about the affidavits.

Best of luck for a speedy processing ! Ours took about 5 and a half months from sending in the paperwork to card-in-hand... no RFE's or any hitches.

Anyone remember how many pages of proof they sent for ROC? I'm beginning to wonder if I'm over-doing it...

I sent my ROC in March, should hear back in 6 weeks.

I sent the following:

-letter from our bank regarding our joint checking account

-wedding invitations that were addressed to both of us

-our IRA accounts with each other being listed as primary beneficiaries

-Anis' life insurance with me being primary beneficiary

-2 affidavits one from a friend who has known us the entire time of our relationship and one from my mother

-our tax transcripts for 2009-2011

let me know if you have any questions about this whole mess ;)

Working in Turkmenistan, spouse is with me.

Dealing with the NVC process...
