The legislation creates a United States Boxing Commission which would oversee boxing matches around the country, administer and enforce federal laws on boxing, and fight conflicts of interest. The sweet science is plagued by fraud, corruption and ineffective regulation.

Two more examples of gov't waste. How did the Roger Clemens hearings turn out, and how much did they cost the taxpayers. Funniest thing about that was the charges against Clemens were "lying to congress"! What a joke being charged and tried for lying to the biggest bunch of liars and bamboozlers on the planet! Professional sports have no affect on the public sector in general, they should be allowed to police themselves, if the fans don't like the product, then they won't buy it. If one or any of the players is caught with illegal perfomance drugs, arrest him/her, charge them and try just like any other criminal, these congressional hearings are a joke.

Well, they have wrapped up the Clemens investigation and the block of time they reserved to fry Holder just cleared up.

If they want to spend time investigating sports then they should start with the NBA and the fixed games. The BCS in D1 college football is another major scam that they haven't done jack ####### about. We should have had a legit playoff years ago instead of these bs bowls we have now.
