W2s are most definitely not a complete tax return. A complete tax return is the 1040, the W2s, and any other schedules or forms that go with the tax return. If you are not sure if you you have a complete tax return, then you can order tax transcripts from the IRS. A Tax transcript has all of the information available in a complete tax return.

AOS for my husband
8/17/10: INTERVIEW DAY (day 123) APPROVED!!

ROC:
5/23/12: Sent out package
2/06/13: APPROVED!

You also need the tax transcripts from the IRS. Do NOT send the 1040s and W2s on their own; you will get another RFE. Get the IRS transcripts and send them along with your 1040s and W2s. This will NOT affect your biometrics appointment.

They don't typically RFE for the same issue so it's likely the OP would just be denied if he improperly replies.

Apply for the transcripts. If you don't send EVERY part of the return you run the risk of the AOS being denied. It's not worth the risk. The IRS transcripts don't take that long (a week or two) to arrive. Your case is paused until you reply but you STILL attend the biometrics appointment.

Your complete tax return might include more than that. If you don't know what is in your tax return (or your husband's), which is different for every person, it is better to order a tax transcript.
