Hi,

My fiancee arrived in the US last friday on her K1 visa. In the original K1 forms (i-129f), I checked off the place to have SSA assign and mail a SSN to us. We havent received it yet. Do we need to go to the SSA office to get a new SSN or should we just wait some more and see if it arrives in the mail from the original i-129f application?

Thanks

A K1 needs to apply for their own SSN. Even if you marked it on the forms, a trip to the SSA office is necessary.

Here's a short guide to getting the SSN: http://www.visajourney.com/content/ssn
