AOS Help Please

Hey guys! So I´m preparing the AOS and I have some questions/things I want to be sure of so if anyone can help I´d appreciate that, thanks.

First off here is my situation-

**Live at home with parents. Mom will be co-sponsor. She files taxes joint with husband. I was her dependent in last tax year.

Q- I will file I-864 and she will file I-864A since we live together and she will include her W2´s to seperate her income from husbands..or is the best thing another I-864?

....And if she DID do another I-864 she and I could NOT combine income, she would have to make enough for our household PLUS hubby?

Now my husbands full name is Jean Carlos Polanco Rodriguez and when I completed the I-864A form.....just in case...., Part 2, No. 1, Line a. - His name doesn´t fit.There´s no way of cutting it because Jean Carlos are both his first name and Polanco Rodriguez are both his last name.

The best thing is for her to do a separate I-864. It is true she can't combine income that way, but as she claims you as her dependent, the household count will not be accurate if you try to claim her as your household member.

My dad filled out I-864A since we live in the same household. No issues with that.

Still best to file two I-864 forms and for Mother to state only her own personal income and document it with tax return copies and W2 forms. In addition, current income can be documented with a pay stub.

In the I864A, my father only included his income, not my mother's and supported it with IRS transcripts, W'2s and paystubs. I read the instructions hundreds of times and extensively, and it seemed this was the only option since we live under the same address. I suppose it can be done both ways.

It can sometimes work the way you did it but that way is for when combining income is needed. When the adult head of household qualifies on their own, (meaning there's no actual need to combine income) it's best to use two I-864 forms. It's the only way to reliably account for the joint sponsor's household size.
