I am scheduled for my uscis interview but theres a problem my husband will have no job in 2 weeks because they're closing the restaurant for renovations for 9 months! what should we do? wats the minimun income needed? thnks!

This right here is the biggest thing, if the interview is before his job ends you'll have no issue. Actually you may not have an issue anyways, my understanding is IF they ask for anything it's usually the last paycheck stub he's gotten and you'll have that, you don't actually have to mention that the place closed down, all their information gathering is done by that point.

Look for another job, that might pay the same amount of money. Also, will the restaurant take him back after 9 months?

Maybe his parents or friends can co-sponsor?

The interview part of it shouldn't be an issue...he will still be employed.

It doesn't hurt to have a co-sponsor lined up, I personally like to be prepared for anything.

This exactly. He does not need to mention that his job will end 2 weeks later, and they won't know unless he tells them. All that matters is that he will be employed when the interview is done. There's nothing to worry about in that respect.

we applied while DH was unemployed. When we interviewed he was employed, but they never asked for anything regarding employment at all. They were more worried about things in both our names and photos.

I attribute it to the idea that the folks that process the applications are the facts checkers - they check for the evidence and completeness of all the paperwork. Once that part it done and everything is verified as being eligible for approval it is passed off to the folks that are there to prove what they cannot from a cubicle in Chicago - the legitimacy of your marriage. That's what the local interview is about...

Of course the iO can ask about whatever they want, but it seems that it is primarily about making sure the marriage is legit.

Ditto, when you got the interview letter, you have passed the initial check with all the forms. The interview will focus on your bona-fide marriage. Don't sweat on these things. Focus on proving your real marriage. Good luck.
