That's too funny. I can relate to that and I sympathize with him.

I'm from tropical Australia, have been here for more than 12 years and I'm only just starting to go outside after our long winter. The snow has finally melted so I may even go out and collect our mail today. One of our neighbour's asked my husband when I was coming back from Australia. He said I didn't go anywhere but I was inside the house all winter. He told them they should start seeing me in the next couple of weeks.

The snow was a novelty 6 years ago when we first moved here and I even made a snowman. It turned out to be a 5 foot high Koala which I called Snowala. It made the local newspaper. I haven't made any snowmen since then.

It's SO funny, lolol. And plus, I need background noise when I sleep so even in the winter, I still have the floor fan on low, lol, I just need to have it. The air conditioner is loud too, so Ben calls it "my airplane engine" because it's almost like a low roar, lol. I wake up to roll over and there he is all bundled up like he's in the Antartica or sumthin'...it's funny. You ain't in Kenya no more, my little chocolate drop...Welcome to New Jersey, baby! I'm laffin' out loud at my desk

I can relate.

I lived in Southern California for 20 years then had a wild idea to move to Texas. After three cold season with ice and stuff I knew I wouldn't last. I am now back in sunny SoCal.

I don't do cold very well.

Some Nigerians are just stronger than others cos you have some that immigrate to places like europe and it is cold there all year with a few warm months and they love it. I am an American and i can't even stand those conditions. But i have lived my whole life in Florida where it is hot mostly all year with a few winter months and we never seen snow.

You know your Husband is african when he arrives in Southern California winter, ignores all your trimmers and cutters and weed wackers , insists you buy him a machette and then while you are work proudly cuts down all your deceduous trees. ( I miss all my little trees)

This will not be over quickly. You will not enjoy this.

You know your husband is african when you have to invest in a "New set up POTS" cuz he insists on cooking his rice on the highest temperature, "blow torch heat" and will not remove it until the bottom of the pot is burnt to a crisp!!!
