My petition was approved about 11 days ago. I have been calling the NVC every day to check if my petition was received by them and all I hear is...WE ARE NOT SHOWING YOUR PETITION YET. :( My NOA2 receipt says that “We have sent your approved petition to the Department of States National Visa Center". Does anyone give me some idea of how long may take for the NVC to receive my petition? Does anyone have had similar experience with them? :bonk:

NVC received your petition before you got the NOA2 letter. It takes somtimes weeks for the contracted telephone operators you are talking to to get updated. Often the petition has already gone to the consulate by then.

Stop calling and the frustration ends. Calling will do nothing to speed things along. You will get a notice when they send it to the consulate. 1-8 weeks usually

have you gotten all your fiance's educational records and had them translated and evaluated in the USA? That would be something good to work on and will help him when he arrives.

We waited over 2 weeks and called every day, then after 15 days I called again and got our KEV#, and was told at that time that they had not only received our package but that it had been sent on to embassy just 4 days after NVC got it, it was just that system had not been updated to show the status to the people who answer calls at NVC
