Hi everyone,I've just discovered this amazing forum while surfing the web for advice and information regarding emigrating to the US to buy a business. If any others have experience and advice on the problems and/or pitfalls of using this route I would be very greatful to listen and learn.

Greetings and regards, bluepolara

The biggest pitfall is that it's Visa Fraud to enter the US on either VWP or a B Class Visa with the intention of immigrating.

If you are planning to purchase a business then you need to secure an E-2 (Investor) Visa.

...........which immigrating he probably wouldn't be able to do anyway.

Cool your jets, Bob. The dude probably isn't familiar with the proper visa types.

Rebecca Jo, were you reading something more into my post than I wrote? My jets haven't even left the hanger...

He asked a question and I simply responded in a factual manner.

He stated he want to enter the US to buy a business and immigrate here and asked what are the pitfalls of his plan.

I didn't accuse him of Immigration Fraud, I merely pointed pointed him in the direction of the correct Visa.

Armed with that knowledge he can now research it and see if he has the resources needed.

E2 is definitely the way to go. Easy visa to get as long as you have the money to invest.
