Good afternoon i win my case in the ninth circuit court appeals due to conviction i had on 1995. I have one question that I would like to see if you can help me with it. On 2010 I went to an interview for the I-130, On January 2012 my i file for I-485 due to my wife is he born in the us and I-765. I have just got my work permit, I saw my status and they will send me for an second interview for the I-485. My question is now "why do I have to go to a second interview if they granted me the first interview...my application was approved?" Can you let me know if this is a normal proccess please. Thank You....

I noted that you said you went on an interview for I-130? Was your wife a US citizen at that time? Based on what I have heard regarding I-130 interviews, that happens when their is no visa # available based on the category of filing -permanent resident spouse filing for spouse. If your wife just naturaluzed to a US citizen and petitioned your adjustment, then you are now receiving your normal adjustment interview. This is an interview for I-485.

Please give details of your case so that you won't get misleading information.

Perhaps because you did not file the I-130 and I-485 together at the same time, you are having to get an interview for the I-130 and then one for the I-485 separately.

The I-130 is the form used for petitioning for a foreign relative to immigrate to the US. Your wife needed to file this form for you to immigrate to the US as her husband. The interview for that was to establish a legitimate marriage exists between the two of you.

The I-485 is to adjust status in the US and receive permanent residence status and a green card. Both you and your wife must be present for the interview. They will want to see evidence of you living at the same residence and co-mingling of finances. You should bring evidence such as a lease/rental agreement in both your names, joint bank accounts, joint tax transcripts, health, life and car insurance policies naming both of you, etc. The letter they send about your interview should list what you need to bring with you.

Did you actually get an appointment notice or are you speculating you will be getting one based on the USCIS status online. Not that you won't get one, but don't speculate you will just because of the online status until it says they actually sent you an appointment notice. The status updates online are generic and mean nothing aside from a general view of what point in the process you are at.

July 2005 - met my awesome, hot, amazing love in Lousiana.
July 2006 - Married said love and moved to Canada.
June 2011 - Entered US to visit family, decided to stay.
Feb. 2012 - Sent paperwork to Chicago.

May 2012 - Received green card.

Day 0 - Package sent to Chicago Lockbox - 02/27/2012
Day 2 - UPS Tracking Confirmation - 02/29/2012
Day 4 - NOA Emails Received - 03/02/2012
Day 7 - All Checks Cashed - 03/05/2012
Day 11 - Hard Copy NOA's Received - 03/09/2012
Day 11 - Biometrics Appointment Received - 03/09/2012
--------- - Booked for - 04/03/2012 (day 36)
Day 35 - Early Biometricts Walk-in - 04/02/2012

It may be a glitch in the system. Wait a week or so and see if your greencard arrives.
