Pico and Sepulveda is not exactly Pico-Union. It's solid West LA out there. Soooooo not ghetto.

(And bah, now I've got that song caught in my head AGAIN. I had it stuck in there the other day when I was sitting at traffic lights and realised I was at the corner of, well, you guessed it.)

The whole region is turning "Ghetto", perhaps not in actual lifestyle, and scale of urban blight, but the attitude and style is there. But yeah, when I was in my teens and early twenties, West LA was white bread, as was the West SFV where I was raised. Now, there are just islands of suburbia left. Surprisingly, I still feel at ease in most of LA City, and I like that the LAPD are the nervous ones now, and not the other way around. Them kids patrolling the streets don't stand a chance anymore, if that town riots again! It looks like the LAC Sheriff is the one recruiting all the beef these days.
