My wife's 2 year GC expires on 08-05-2012 & our 90 day window opens on 05-07-2012. We are planning on going to Cancun,Mexico for 1 week vacation during July 4th weekend. Is it safe to travel with her GC? We will send out I-751 package after returning from vacation (with latest pics). Also, will it hurt to delay sending I-751 package till mid July?

It will not hurt the petition by delaying it. You don't have to file the day the 90 day window opens. You just have to file before the card expires.

The card is valid before and after the trip you can travel with it safely.

If you have a conditional status green card, and it wont expire until next year. would one be allowed to travel outside of US without any other requirements aside from my passport and greencard? thank you. Does having a conditional status will not affect whatsoever your chance of re-entry to US if you fly without any pass application to travel granted from USCIS? thank you so much.. any reply would be very much appreciated. or should a need to apply for pass to travel?

A GC gives you the right to travel. Conditional status means NOTHING, aside from the fact that you renew a different way than other LPRs. Your rights are the same.

AOS for my husband
8/17/10: INTERVIEW DAY (day 123) APPROVED!!

ROC:
5/23/12: Sent out package
2/06/13: APPROVED!
