we recieved this for an email..

Application Type: I485 , Application to Register Permanent Residence or to Adjust Status

Current Status:

On October 10, 2006, after approving your application, we ordered you a new card. Your card will be mailed to you as soon as it is ready.

If you have questions or concerns about your application or the case status results listed above, or if you have not received a decision or advice from USCIS within the projected processing time frame*, please contact the National Customer Service Center.

does this mean that her aos was approved? whats this card? we dont have any card. we sent in our application about a month ago, so this doesnt sound right. 1 month approval? hmmm

Yes you are approved as the email indicates. The card is your Green Card. Yes it is possible.

Traveled to Morocco on Aug 3rd, 2005

Got Engaged on Aug 16th, 2005

Left Morocco on Aug 19th, 2005

08-29-05 Filed I129F

01-09-06 Interview Date (9am) We were not approved today, I guess we got a 221g of the damn S. Korea Police Certificate that Casablanca said we didn't need.

03/03/06 Turn in Passport at 9am

03/15/06 Visa Issued

03/31/06 Enter USA via JFK

05/15/06 Wedding for Visa

06/10/06 Mailed AOS papers

07/06/06 Biometerics Apt

07/15/06 My offical wedding day....I know .....:-)

07/10/06 Touched

08/25/06 EAD Approvel

09/01/06 EAD in Hand

09/26/06 AOS Interview (Recommend for Approval)

10-05-06 Received Welcome Letter

10-10-06 Green Card Arrived.

yea, we mailed our case to chicago along with the work authorization and the travel document on sept 9. less than a week later it was forwarded to california. we went to have the biometrics on 9/29/06, and recieved this email today.

so im assuming that since the aos was approved it doesn't matter that the travel document or work authorization wasn't approved yet right? since the green card must supersede the others.

K-1/K-2 VISA'S APPROVED IN MONTREAL MAY 2, 2005

K-1/K-2 AOS APPROVED IN ATLANTA MAY 17, 2006

10 year GC Approved - APRIL 16th ,2009 - Peggy and Jonathan's......

Still waiting for our cards...Had to file I-90 as they sent them to the wrong address.

March 9th, 2010, Received GC that has been lost in the mail for 10 months. Still waiting for my son's that is lost as well.

Filed Waiver for my son's 10 year GC and it was approved. He finally received his GC after its been missing for 2 years.

Thanking God this is over for 10 years.

we were never scheduled an interview, is this something that happens afterrr the approval? or were we just lucky and didn't have to go to one ?

expecting to wait 9 months, and being approved after 1, it's still very hard to believe

Not everyone has to do an AOS interview. If the case is transferred to CSC then the application is generally approved without the interview. So yes, it is possible! Congratulations on your fast approval! :)

ONE MONTH? Congratulations. I think your case is the fastest I have ever heard about.

Removal of Conditions Timeline:

03/19/2008 - package sent to TSC, let's hope for the best

03/20/2008 - check cashed

03/26/2008 - case sent to Vermont Service Center

04/17/2008 - Biometrics scheduled

05/19/2008 - received I551 extension stamp via INFOPASS

02/12/2009 - APPROVED

02/21/2009 - GC received...no mistakes...valid until 2019

thank you so much, everyone.

this site has given me so much more information than i could have imagined. just using this site helped us get the aos done without a lawyer.

if there is any information ii can help annnyone with, i'd be more than glad to.

does anyone have any idea how long it might take before we see the green card in the mail?
