You will not need an Affidavit of Support till the interview stage.

yes i understand thank you. however since i do have to send it to my fiance and im over 4 months on the processing period, i want to know if its possible to fill it out ahead of time and just send everything to him as soon as possible. I have a friend who will be travelling to the philippine on april 28. That will save me fedex shipping fees and a 100% guarantee that it'll reach him.

All of the information for the affidavit needs to be recent. Wait until she has an interview scheduled.

I have the same situation.. My fiance wants to send me his affidavit of support as soon as possible. we already have the noa1 and waiting for noa2.. I just like to clarify, that all the supporting documents should be recent at the time of the interview? Some evidences should be requested ahead of time because it takes a lot of time to get it. Am I right? Just confused.. Thanks a Lot!! :-)

Some of the information necessary for the Form I-134 Affidavit of Support is somewhat time-sensitive. It is generally recommended to start assembling the I-134 materials after receipt of NOA2. If the material is too stale, the CO may delay approval pending re-submission of more current information.

It is kind of a balancing act, assembling as current of information as possible and still getting the documents to the beneficiary prior to the consulate/embassy interview.

Good luck on your visa journey.

Sure, no problema.....

Actually, we are right in the middle of that very process now. We got our NOA2 on 26 March 2012. I am putting the finishing touches on the I-134 packet. My better half is getting ready to send the completed Packet 3 forms/documents to the consulate, so that we can then schedule our interview. I am planning to travel with her the ~ 1200 miles (~1900 Km) from Beijing to the interview at the consulate in Guangzhou. I will be bringing the I-134 packet with me. I know that I cannot attend the interview, but I want to be supportive on our immigration journey.

Good luck on your visa journey.

I would advise you to wait till it get approved so your fiance will have recent documents, anyway, you'll have a lot of time to mail it to her after the petition gets approved. Good luck!

Yes.. definitely, it needs to be recent and if you use Fed ex or other express courier to Philippines, it'll only take between 3-5 days the max.. so dont worry, you'll have a lot of time :)

Good Luck!

I'm in the same situation. I'm leaving the U.S. on May 20th and I'm afraid my NOA2 won't be there on time. I'd like to have complete paperwork with me on the date of my departure, instead of having it mailed internationally.
