Case Transferred...Help!!!

Infopass was transferred to my local office for an interview. I told them I requested and sent in evidence for expedite request. They said they'd pull the file and if it's "easy" they'll get me in within the next couple weeks. If it's "hard" then I have to wait. I left our daughter's birth cert with them -- it has both our names on it. I couldn't get it signed when she was born b/c husband was in immigration jail at the time and I wasn't able to see him again until March of this year to get the acknowledgement of paternity signed.. anyway. We'll see. I hope to get some good news b/c my grandpa passed away this morning. So.. whatever. Good luck to everyone.

Oh my sorry to hear of your grandpa dear. My deepest sympathy to you and your family. And you are in my prayers for you and husband and all this resolved and you all reunited. Baby needs her daddy and wife also. God Bless.

Hi winnie

No one really knows why the cases are transferred from center to center.

But every case that I have seen that transfers has a NOA2 wait for over a year.

So, you are in for a long wait

Get your congressman involved and make a congressional inquiry for you

Good Luck

May 24, 2011 NOA1

Sept 11, 2011 NOA2-took 19 days to get case number

Sept 30, 2011 NVC number and IIN received Friday-gotta wait till Monday

Oct 13, 2011 Case Completed- 13 days from receiving case number Took 32 days from NOA2

Nov 30, 2011 Notified of Interview date

January 19, 2012 Interview- 240 days from NOA1

INTERVIEW RESULTS-APPROVED WITH 14 WEEKS AP--but he got his visa in 56 days!!!!!!

PLEASE EDIT YOUR TIMELINE IN YOUR PROFILE SO OTHERS CAN LEARN HOW LONG EACH STEP TAKES IN THIS PROCESS

Also Winnie when you are calling the USCIS are you requesting a Tier 2 manager? If not do that first thing they maybe able to shed light than that gives you more info to provide to your congressional person.

Let us know what's up.

The last time we called USCIS they gave us an inquiry number like that and forwared it to VSC to know about our case. we got a letter from VSC stating that they are processing our case and we should be hearing from them 6months.... now what I don't understand is, is it 6months from when the case was transferred or 6months from the letter they issued?

Yes Winnie you need someone to check into this for you to find out why. Like previous posters they had prior immigration issues. Do you have that? An overstay, deportation? Heck I don't know all the things that would require further review on this end.

But do make that congressional call and email hopefully chop chop u will get some answers at least while you wait.

We are here okay. (If that at all helps)

Hi just wanted to get an update on everyone. I have not heard anything about my case in over a month. :/ I'm so worried now bc I'm goin out to visit my husband next month and I hope they don't schedule me for an interview and I'll have to cut my trip short. :/ also quick question how do u talk to someone at uscis? I know that might seem like a dumb question but ive called the 1800 number and can't seem to get to a representative no matter what key I press.

Sorry for being mia recently. i was visitiing my hubby in mexico and just got back. Still no news about our case..its very frustrating.. i called today and the only thing the rep was able to tell me was to call back in 30 days if i still haven't seen any progress...it's been so long already, ive seen people who started this process long after me and are already with their loved ones. i'm calling again tomorrow and requesting to speak to a tier 2 rep to see if i can get more info. will keep everyone posted. keeping all of you in my prayers...
