Hi everyone,

I just checked my status online and we were approved for the I-130 which we were really happy about. I was surprised because we were approved in one month.

I would like to know what comes next? They told me they will send us instructions so I'm just waiting. But I'm curious again as to what we will be filing

since our I-130 was processed so fast from over here. I would like to know what documentation will will have to gather but I guess I'll know from the

instructions they send us!

If you wait for instructions, you will be waiting for a very long time, I suggest you check out LingChe NVC ShortCut for what you will be doing next.

September 10, 2009: Arrived for first meeting in-person!
June 17, 2010: Arrived for second in-person meeting and start of travel together to other areas of China!

September 1, 2010: Switched course from K1 to CR-1
December 8, 2010: Wedding date set; it will be on February 18, 2011!
February 9, 2011: Depart for China
February 11, 2011: Registered for marriage in Wuhan, officially married!!!
February 18, 2011: Wedding ceremony in Shiyan!!!
April 22, 2011: Mailed I-130 to Chicago
April 28, 2011: Received NOA1 via text/email, file routed to CSC (priority date April 25th)
April 29, 2011: Updated
May 3, 2011: Received NOA1 hardcopy in mail
July 26, 2011: Received NOA2 via text/email!!!
July 30, 2011: Received NOA2 hardcopy in mail
August 8, 2011: NVC received file
September 1, 2011: NVC case number assigned
September 2, 2011: AOS invoice received, OPTIN email for EP sent
September 7, 2011: Paid AOS bill (payment portal showed PAID on September 9, 2011)
September 8, 2011: OPTIN email accepted, GZO number assigned
September 10, 2011: Emailed AOS package
September 12, 2011: IV bill invoiced
September 13, 2011: Paid IV bill (payment portal showed PAID on September 14, 2011)
September 14, 2011: Emailed IV package
October 3, 2011: Emailed checklist response (checklist generated due to typo on Form DS-230)
October 6, 2011: Case complete at NVC
November 10, 2011: Interview - APPROVED!!!
December 7, 2011: POE - Sea-Tac Airport

September 17, 2013: Mailed I-751 to CSC

September 23, 2013: Received NOA1 in mail (receipt date September 19th)

October 16, 2013: Biometrics Appointment

January 28, 2014: Production of new Green Card ordered

February 3, 2014: New Green Card received; done with USCIS until fall of 2023*

December 18, 2023:  Filed I-90 to renew Green Card

December 21, 2023:  Production of new Green Card ordered - will be seeing USCIS again every 10 years for renewal

You got your NOA2 in a month?.. Lucky girl!!! If you have reached the NVC stage.. There are guides on VJ that will tell you exactly ehat you need. Just type NVC guide on the search box and it will bring it up. I'd copy and paste the link for you.. But I can't seem to do it.. Using a phone..

Was the USC filing the petition while living abroad? Others on this forum have identified an "automatic expedite" for USCs filing abroad when the petition shows the foreign address.

Congrats!!

He needs to go get his police certs from all places he lived for over 6 months since age 16...I think!

Read Lingche's shortcuts to NVC and you will be ready for NVC!!

Get the I-864 ready

Sept 30, 2011 NVC number and IIN received Friday-gotta wait till Monday

Oct 13, 2011 Case Completed- 13 days from receiving case number Took 32 days from NOA2

Nov 30, 2011 Notified of Interview date

January 19, 2012 Interview- 240 days from NOA1

INTERVIEW RESULTS-APPROVED WITH 14 WEEKS AP--but he got his visa in 56 days!!!!!!

PLEASE EDIT YOUR TIMELINE IN YOUR PROFILE SO OTHERS CAN LEARN HOW LONG EACH STEP TAKES IN THIS PROCESS

look at the embassy info EGYPT on top of this page.for package 3 an 4 an medical info.the ds-3032 choice of agent who do you want to receive the immigration paper to go to.the person in egypt or the person in the u.s the petitioner.the police certificate.check the embassy.or the egypt portal some one will help.

I just realized what step you missed

You expedited at the NVC level and they approved it.

As soon as they approved it you needed to call the embassy and ask for an expedite AGAIN

So call them to get expedite approval for the interview

Hello again,

I sent the I-130 paperwork to California Service Center and I just saw the notice for approval online. I didn't know it would be so quick. What do you mean by expedite interview? Do I have to send paperwork in first?? I'm confused, thanks for any help. Also, what is the choice of agent again? I have to go to the embassy website. My internet has been a little slow so I haven't been able to research as much!
