My date is Feb 13th and i tried calling them yesterday for opening a service request and i was told they working on Jan 23rd cases. They wont even let us open a service request. This wait is frustrating and every day goes by slow and painful for me . God will help us soon.

Approved Today!!!!!

I dont if this apporval has something to do with the the fact that we called yesterday but they didnt let us put a service request. There´s no criteria its just lotery. I spent the last month seeing how other cases were approved and i thought there was something wrong with me case but everything is fine thanks god

Hang in there......it is just matter of wainting anf patience. Good luck to everyone and hope u get ur approvals soon.

Jan 23rd is just a date they use to put off any new service requests after that date! I heard that date about 3 weeks back myself. On forums, I saw one saying he was told Jan 23rd in May, to which another replied he got the same date another month before, i.e. in April!!

I know the feeling of being helpless and feel frustrated!!! :(

Helpless is just an understatement. They just running circles around peoples emotions. It cannot be Jan 23rd for 3 months. Seems like this is the trick they doing to keep anyone from opening a service request and leave us on the bay. Hopefully all will get better soon.

First VSC tooks its time to approve the case. Then NVC is taking its own sweet time to get the case into their system when they have had the case in their building for 2 weeks now. Though NVC says 3-4 weeks (15-20 business days), from my experience, I doubt it will be done in that time.

Call after 20 business days and they will say its just an estimate and to wait another 20 days... It all feels like a joke now!

After all the "technological advances" USCIS needs to send the initial documents by mail to NVC and someone has to manually put it in a system to generate a case number? :bonk::wacko:

Any updates on I-130s? Did anyone else try the "Senator route"? I have heard it helps if all required checks have been done and its sitting at the officer's desk at the VSC to simply be stamped "Approved".

someone from India who filed in Jan 18, got approval on July 30. So, it must be something to do with country of the beneficiary.

For India it may be taking close to 5+ months for whoever (that includes me as well) unluckily ended up with Vermont

I thought VSC was bad... Looks like NVC is giving them a tougher competition!

3 weeks to put in a system, and then, according to the NVC call operator, 10-20 business days more to generate an invoice?

I totally don't understand how this thing works! <_<
