Is there's anyway to know if AOS package is accepted other than calling? Does NVC email you when it's accepted?

For non-EP cases, you don't get those kind of emails. The only way you'd find out is by calling an operator.

Congratulations to all who received great news today.

I am still waiting for my case number but I have a feeling it will be ready when I call as soon as they open.

My question is: can I nominate myself as the choice of agent on DS3032 when I email it through? I know this option is available on the hard copy form. I am the beneficiary.

Thanks

Nat

Yup, you can nominate yourself. The DS-3032 is kind of a moot form at this point as, if you give over both email addresses to an operator after getting your case number, NVC will send all correspondence to the petitioner and beneficiary by email.

Good morning everyone (though it's evening in my part of the world). I've been busy printing out evidence to take to my interview, and it's one huge bundle.... as in, really HUGE. Everything from money transfers to emails to chat logs to vonage phone logs to cards and gifts sent to FB messages to FB status and other messages, to everything. Am I overdoing it?

Is India a tough country for interviews? If so, then your evidence is fine. For Canada, a super easy, low-fraud country, I didn't bring much evidence (less than half an inch) as I knew the CO wouldn't ask for it. I just brought it "in case".

People i was just reading on the website of the US embassy in Haiti i see they said for the I-864 they need original, photocopies of siganture will not be accepted. Now i am a bit scared because i do not know if my wife mailed to NVC her I-864 and our joint sponsor's copy or original. Do you guys think the embassy is really strict about it?

NVC doesn't accept copies of forms, so she must have sent the originals, otherwise you would have gotten a checklist for original signatures.

All FB chat are stored in messages. You can just print that out. As for Skype, Saylin did send me a link the other day, but I somehow can't find it. Sorry.

I have the thread bookmarked ;)http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/327553-skype-chat-logs/ Posts 3 and 8 yes.gif

The consulate I'm interviewing at is not as tough as the Embassy in New Delhi, but I just thought it's better to be safe than sorry. I'm traveling over 700 miles for my interview, so just covering all the bases. Oh, and India is a high-fraud country.

They only need original signatures (your wife's signature and the cosponsor's signature) on the I-864 forms themselves. The IRS has nothing to do with that.

Well, I've never printed Facebook chats, but I'm assuming you just go to your 'Messages' on Facebook, then hit 'Print' from the file menu on your browser. I would suggest just taking one screenshot from each month since 13,000 messages is quite a lot to print out.

Did you not read what I wrote? If your wife had sent copies of the I-864 form, NVC wouldn't have accepted it. Since your I-864 was accepted and your case is complete, that must mean your wife sent the originals. That I-864 package (along with everything else) will then be forwarded to the embassy in Haiti once an interview date has been scheduled.

No; they'll already have your AOS package (as well as your I-130, IV, etc) from NVC.

The only things required at most interviews (not including those doing EP) are:

-interview letter

-passport

-medical results

-2 passport-style pictures

And then proof of relationship is somewhere between optional and required.

There are of course a plethora of optional items, like a copy of every single package ever submitted to USCIS and NVC. I brought along a copy of our I-130 package, our AOS package, our IV package, print-outs of emails from NVC, our NOA1 and NOA2, etc etc. Was any of it needed? No. But I felt much better having everything.

USCIS. Get a Tier 2 human (see ISO - http://www.dhs.gov/files/publications/gc_1305658440339.shtm )

then, get an ISO.

then , once you've GOTTEN an ISO (that bit was important)

ask them where the casefile is.

Be adamant about NOT setting up a service request - as this will waste further time and really isn't useful.

Instead, tell the ISO that the casefile has been approved for (x months) and there's no indication that NVC has received it, and that YOUR PRIMARY CONCERN is that it's still sitting on the adjudicators desk,

and then...

ask the ISO to send a request to the ADJUDICATOR to bundle up the casefile to go to NVC.

Then call back in 2 days, see what's what. If still no movement outta USCIS, then get an ISO again, and ask the ISO to get to the Adjudicator's Boss, telling them that the casefile was lost by the adjudicator.

Good Luck !

Thank you so much. I will try this now.
