Hello Everybody.

At March 1st my status in USCIS was changed to "Request for Evidence" 15 days after I called the Customer Service Center because the letter had not been delivered yet. They opened a new case to re-send me the letter.

But strangely March 19th my status changed to "Card/Document Production", that I will get the card in the next 30 days. So I was really surprised, because they did not waited for Evidence to be sent.

And today I just received the RFE letter, asking for the I-693 form regarding some vaccinations missing.

So I am confused, is the Green Card on the way? Should I still need to send that RFE? Can somebody help me please.

Thanks!

The "card production" is for your EAD. You need to reply to the RFE for the I-693 or your Greencard case will be denied.

AOS for my husband
8/17/10: INTERVIEW DAY (day 123) APPROVED!!

ROC:
5/23/12: Sent out package
2/06/13: APPROVED!

USCIS case status is unreliable. If you have received the RFE I would respond to it. Even if your card production has been ordered not responding could come back to haunt you.

If you haven't had your interview yet, it is not your Green Card that has been ordered.

It is likely that Harpa is right, in that it is your EAD (work permit).

In regards to your RFE, you say you sent vaccinations? Does that mean that you physically went to a civil surgeon, and had them fill out the I-693 forms and they put them in a sealed envelope which you mailed in response to the RFE?

If you just sent them some vaccination records from yourself, that won't cut it.

To get a more clear picture of what is going on I would suggest going to USCIS.gov and typing your individual receipt numbers in.

I am thinking that when you type in the receipt number for your I-765 you will find that a card has been ordered for that.

When you type in the receipt for your I-485 you will likely see the RFE side of things.

I didn't had any interview yet. We did go with a Civil Surgeon and they filled out the I-693 and I sent it in the sealed enveloped. After that my status changed to "Card/ Document Production"...thinking that there was no further action for me. But suddenly it came back to RFE, that is why It was confused for me.

Thank you for your response :)

Like we have said...two different things.

Your card has to do with the employment authorization. Your RFE has nothing to do with that - it is related to the I-485 petition.

Your employment authorization would have come through regardless...pretty much anyone can get that. The medical form was in relation to your I-485 and they probably have not had time to process the RFE yet.
