why no processing times for Nebraska SC

Hi,

I'm new here and glad to be part of the group! My fiance and i will file for the K1. I don't see any processing times under the Nebraska Service Center. Anyone know why, or how long?

I believe only California and vermont process K-1. so your petition was sent to one of those. You will know which one based on what it says when you get your first notice of action in the mail for sure. Nebraska handles other type cases

It looks like only Vermont and California process K1's. I think the other service centres used to do it, but now it is just those two. I could be wrong though!

Yeah, only Vermont and California process i-129f petitions. Each service center has its own thing with petitions. I think it was in 2010 loads of i-130 petitions got sent to a different center because they were backlogged at the original service center. Later in the process you'll figure out what the other centers are doing(AOS, EAD, AP, ROC, etc) by looking at the first 3 letters in your case number.

Yes, only CSC and VSC process I-129F petitions. You will know at which service center your petition is being processed when you will receive your first Notice Of Action. It will be written at the bottom left of it. Also, your receipt number (top left on NOA1) will be either starting by WAC (California SC) or EAC (Vermont SC). Please update your profile and timeline when you will be know, so people on VJ will have more info on you if you have further questions in the future. (it will also help statistics on VJ)
